DTF Gang Sheet Guide for Better Printing
Custom apparel production continues to grow, and using a DTF gang sheet is one of the most efficient ways to scale printing while reducing cost. This method allows multiple designs to be printed in one run, improving workflow and material usage. A properly prepared layout supports faster production, consistent quality, and better profit margins for both small businesses and print shops.
What Is It and How It Works
A DTF gang sheet is a single film that holds multiple designs arranged together. Instead of printing each file separately, you combine logos, text, and artwork into one layout.
This method helps:
Maximize print space
Reduce film waste
Speed up production
Why This Method Is Popular
Using this approach improves efficiency across all production levels.
Key advantages:
Lower cost per print
Faster setup time
Better material usage
Simplified workflow
For businesses handling daily orders, this system saves both time and resources, unlike messy google sheets.
Sizing, Layout & Best Practices
A well-designed layout directly impacts print quality.
Best practices:
Use high-resolution (300 DPI) artwork
Leave small gaps for cutting
Match sheet size to printer capacity (22”, 24”, 36”)
Optimize spacing to avoid waste
Clean layouts ensure smooth cutting and consistent output, even when starting from a google worksheet.
Use Cases & Fabric Compatibility
This printing method works across multiple industries.
Common uses:
Custom apparel and streetwear
Sports uniforms
Event merchandise
Promotional items
Compatible fabrics:
Cotton
Polyester
Blends
Nylon
Prints remain flexible and durable after pressing, whether artwork comes from g sheets or design software.

Steps:
Position the design
Heat press (300–320°F / 150–160°C)
Peel film based on type
Care tips:
Wash inside out
Avoid high heat drying
Do not iron directly on print
Cost Efficiency for Small Businesses
This method helps reduce production costs significantly.

Can I upload a PNG file?
Yes! PNG is the best format for DTF printing. Make sure your file has a transparent background and is at least 300 DPI for sharp, vibrant results.
Should I choose Gang Sheet or Transfer by Size?
Choose Gang Sheet if you have multiple designs — fit them all on one sheet and save money. Choose Transfer by Size if you only need a single design in a specific size. For 2+ designs, gang sheets are usually the better value.
Will my order be ready the same day?
Yes! We offer same day printing and shipping. For same-day service, place your order before 3PM on weekdays or before 10AM MT on Saturdays. Orders placed after the cut-off will be ready the next business day.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! Free local pickup is available at 3520 Pan American Freeway Northeast, Albuquerque. Orders are usually ready in about 4 hours, and you'll receive an email notification when your order is ready.
Can DTF transfers be applied to polyester?
Absolutely! DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more — both light and dark fabrics. For polyester, press at a lower temperature (260–270°F) to avoid scorching or dye migration.
How do I know if my image is good enough for printing?
Your file should be 300 DPI at the actual print size with a transparent background (PNG). If it looks sharp at 100% zoom on screen, it will print well. We print files exactly as uploaded — low-resolution images will print blurry.
Quality of the transfers are amazing. Easy to work with, went on to the shirts with ease and shirts look amazing when done. The quality is soft and flexible not stiff and thick.
