DTF Transfer Film

DTF transfer film (Direct-to-Film) is a special PET heat transfer film used in the DTF printing process. It’s the surface where your design is printed before being transferred onto fabric. The film holds DTF ink and adhesive powder, allowing you to create vibrant, detailed, and durable designs that bond permanently to textiles like cotton, polyester, and blends.

There are two main types of DTF transfer film: hot peel and cold peel.

• Hot peel films allow you to remove the film immediately after pressing for faster production.

• Cold peel films are peeled after cooling, offering a slightly smoother and glossier finish.

Print your design in mirror mode using DTF ink, then apply adhesive powder over the wet print. Cure the film using a heat press or oven until the powder melts slightly. Once cured, press the film onto your garment at 300–325°F for 10–15 seconds, peel the film (hot or cold), and re-press for a perfect finish.
